After recieving a nice pass, Saxnäs IF's Torsten Österlund tried to score from far away in the 4th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Mark Nilsson made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Sune Pettersson sent off a good shot on target. In the 12th minute, Boris Bark ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Lennart Fernström was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. When Vilhelm Caspersson came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Saxnäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vilhelm Caspersson couldn't finish the play. 20 minutes into the match, Grabbens Grabbar FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rasmus Kullgren came free, but Lennart Fernström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rasmus Kullgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Lennart Fernström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute, Boris Bark got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Grabbens Grabbar FC's zone, Vilhelm Caspersson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lennart Fernström came out of the goal and Vilhelm Caspersson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 29th minute, Rasmus Kullgren made a precise shot to the right of Lennart Fernström. Grabbens Grabbar FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Rasmus Kullgren came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the Saxnäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasmus Kullgren couldn't finish the play. Lennart Fernström came out of the goal in the 37th minute to try and stop a shot by Saxnäs IF's Vilhelm Caspersson. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Caspersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After having played for 41 minutes, Torsten Österlund managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Saxnäs IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Torsten Österlund was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Saxnäs IF's Rasmus Kullgren got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Saxnäs IF booed when Grabbens Grabbar FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sven Mellbad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Anders Olofsson during the 46th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Anders Olofsson hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Kiempe to make the kick off. Elliot Björk's late challenge caught a Saxnäs IF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 56th minute, Jens-Erik Kilberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grabbens Grabbar FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Grabbens Grabbar FC's Lennart Fernström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Grabbens Grabbar FC from getting a goal against them. Rasmus Kullgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute, Rasmus Kullgren fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Algot Pihlgren recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Rasmus Kullgren came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Saxnäs IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rasmus Kullgren couldn't finish the play. After 75 minutes, Sven Mellbad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grabbens Grabbar FC and the Saxnäs IF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 75 played minutes Grabbens Grabbar FC got a freekick which was hit by Sven Mellbad. Boris Bark struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Lennart Fernström didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Saxnäs IF. If Torsten Österlund had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lennart Fernström was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Rasmus Kullgren showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-4 in the 82 minute of play. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Rasmus Kullgren took a quick shot and it went in 1-5 without a chance for Lennart Fernström to make any attempt to save it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vilhelm Caspersson in the 95th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lennart Fernström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Rasmus Kullgren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Saxnäs IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Rasmus Kullgren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennart Fernström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
