Vilhelm Lidberg's shot from long distance was a real pearl which went to the right and just passed Fredrik Olsmann - 1-2 was put on the score board in the 14th minute. Arvid Petersson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 20th match minute, Virsbo IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Verner Bennet to maneuver through the defense. Virsbo IF's Fredrik Olsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Peder Rudkvist in the 22nd minute of play. 23 minutes into the match, Virsbo IF's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Göransson came free, but Fredrik Olsmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Norrahammar IFK's Henry Blomberg got control of the ball when Verner Bennet tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andy Göransson in the 26th minute of play forced Virsbo IF's goalkeeper Fredrik Olsmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fredrik Olsmann made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. The audience was convinced that Andy Göransson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fredrik Olsmann was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. If Ronny Valrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The wind increased when Arvid Petersson made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute Eric Galle shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Olsmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Joacim Njurenius kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fredrik Olsmann. That made the score 1-4 in the 59 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Norrahammar IFK's Vilhelm Lidberg got a free kick in the 67th minute. In the 70th minute, Andy Göransson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Norrahammar IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. Fredrik Olsmann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Galle, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. Bo-Erik Lindström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute.
