Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Göran Holmgren kicked off to start the match. In the 7th minute Rasmus Söderberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henry Blomberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eric Galle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bo-Erik Lindström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 19 minutes into the match, Göran Holmgren had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Henry Blomberg. Norrahammar IFK's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Göran Holmgren was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The supporters of Norrahammar IFK booed when Skillingaryd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reine Fors didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Norrahammar IFK's Vilhelm Lidberg tried to score from far away in the 25th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Roland Bållström kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Göran Holmgren in the 47th minute of play forced Norrahammar IFK's goalkeeper Henry Blomberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Arman Alebäck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Göransson, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. If Rasmus Söderberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Göransson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Göran Holmgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Henry Blomberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 73rd minute, Norrahammar IFK's Göran Forsberg seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Göran Forsberg the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Norrahammar IFK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Göran Forsberg had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 72nd minute, one of Norrahammar IFK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Norrahammar IFK. When Göran Holmgren came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Skillingaryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Göran Holmgren couldn't finish the play. Rasmus Söderberg in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Henry Blomberg, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 84th minute Andy Göransson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arman Alebäck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Skillingaryd's Arman Alebäck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andy Göransson in the 93rd minute of play. Henry Blomberg made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Rasmus Söderberg sent off a good shot on target. The Skillingaryd supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Skillingaryd would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
