Spectators: 7343 (Terracing: 5620, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 0) Arvid Petersson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a defensive mix-up in Torekov FF's zone, Ronny Valrot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sven-Olof Sandberg came out of the goal and Ronny Valrot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Arvid Petersson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Virsbo IF's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Petersson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Olof Sandberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Verner Bennet sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 15 minutes into the match, Virsbo IF's goal looked a bit too open when Sture Caspersson came free, but Fredrik Olsmann reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Ronny Valrot came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Virsbo IF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ronny Valrot couldn't finish the play. In the 18th minute Gottfrid Melberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fredrik Olsmann saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 20th minute, Gottfrid Melberg made a precise shot to the right of Fredrik Olsmann. Virsbo IF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Fredrik Olsmann took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sture Caspersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Torekov FF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Sandberg, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Pontus Svartengren took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fredrik Olsmann. Fredrik Olsmann dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. If Ronny Valrot had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Arvid Petersson in the 41st minute of play forced Torekov FF's goalkeeper Sven-Olof Sandberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Virsbo IF's Per-Olof Holmberg got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 46th minute, Gottfrid Melberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fredrik Olsmann was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sture Caspersson made a kick off. After 59 played minutes, Virsbo IF's Verner Bennet shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Sven-Olof Sandberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Virsbo IF reached it. Fredrik Olsmann made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Gottfrid Melberg sent off a good shot on target. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arvid Petersson in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Olof Sandberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Sven-Olof Sandberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ludwig Ahlén, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. After 87 played minutes, Torekov FF's Michael Salkvist shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fredrik Olsmann came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Torekov FF reached it. Virsbo IF's Fredrik Olsmann played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sture Caspersson in the 91st minute of play. 93 minutes into the match, Virsbo IF's Fredrik Bark sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sven-Olof Sandberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gottfrid Melberg came free with the goalkeeper in the 96th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fredrik Olsmann could save by the left post. Torekov FF were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Virsbo IF's much stronger midfield.
