An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Sandberg in the 24th minute of play forced Fritsla's goalkeeper Allan Bäck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Nils-Emil Westerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karl-Ove Berg recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gustav Bock was out of position in the 39 minute of play, and Sten Eriksson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sten Eriksson really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. In the 46th minute, Kent Sandberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Axel Damm made a kick off.
