IFK Götet's Marcial Bide played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrik Falkrantz in the 29th minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Thomas Karlstedt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. IFK Götet's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Röda Djävlar FC the free kick. After 31 played minutes IFK Götet got a freekick which was hit by Thomas Karlstedt. Marcial Bide acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 32nd minute, took the ball on the long shot from Kent Widberg. The Röda Djävlar FC fans' excitement grew in the 34th match minute when Röda Djävlar FC's Patrik Falkrantz looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After a rather tough play, Röda Djävlar FC's Claes Bäckström got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hannes Wästerberg during the 53rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
