Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tor Blom in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Christer Groth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Nygård FK's zone, Björn Törnqvist stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ömer Halisdemir came out of the goal and Björn Törnqvist tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With 12 minutes on the clock, Tommy Trillkott commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Röda Djävlar FC:s Christer Groth showed great skill when he stopped Marcus Karlberg:s penalty. Christer Groth took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Douglas Modig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Christer Groth made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Douglas Modig sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Harlén in the 32nd minute of play forced Röda Djävlar FC's goalkeeper Christer Groth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tor Blom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Christer Groth having to interfere. Douglas Modig received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Christer Groth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Patrik Falkrantz to make the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tor Blom in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Christer Groth saved Röda Djävlar FC from getting behind. Valdemar Berglund's late challenge caught a Röda Djävlar FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valdemar Berglund helped the player get up and apologised. Ömer Halisdemir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrik Falkrantz in the 58th minute. After 59 played minutes Röda Djävlar FC got a freekick which was hit by Patrik Falkrantz. If Douglas Modig had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Tor Blom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Röda Djävlar FC defense, Verner Harlén kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Christer Groth. The Röda Djävlar FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Christer Groth should have stopped the shot. In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Röda Djävlar FC's goalkeeper Christer Groth, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Patrik Falkrantz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ömer Halisdemir having to interfere. Verner Harlén scored 2-0 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Christer Groth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 89 minutes into the game, Jan Brodin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Röda Djävlar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nygård FK the free kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Nygård FK had played much better football throughout.
