In the 9th minute, Ove Browald reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dick Odeen. The goal made the score 1-0. With a little luck, Vessigebro's Dick Odeen got control of the ball when Elias Karlstedt tried to sneak it across the goal line. Elias Karlstedt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Dick Odeen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nusnäs IK's Ove Browald got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvin Olsson during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ove Browald in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dick Odeen prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 25 in the game by Elias Karlstedt from a close distance when the talented Dick Odeen managed to make a qualified save. Vessigebro's players were relieved. Ion Patrichi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nusnäs IK's Erland Wallman managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Svante Harman in the 32 minute of the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ove Browald during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Vessigebro's Dick Odeen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Vessigebro from getting a goal against them. 36 minutes into the game, Håkan Bergendahl was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vessigebro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nusnäs IK the free kick. When Mikael Snäll came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Vessigebro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikael Snäll couldn't finish the play. In the 40th minute, Ove Browald ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dick Odeen was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Agne Lundin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernst Björkkvist in the 45th minute of play. Agne Lundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mikael Snäll in the 46th minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The coaching staff of Nusnäs IK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Börje Ekström had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ernst Björkkvist got free with Agne Lundin in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 77th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vessigebro's goalkeeper Dick Odeen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 79th minute Mikael Snäll shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Agne Lundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 81st minute, Vessigebro's Håkan Bergendahl dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-3. Edvin Olsson was shown his second yellow card after 83 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Elias Karlstedt's late challenge caught a Vessigebro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elias Karlstedt helped the player get up and apologised. Mikael Snäll received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Agne Lundin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mikael Snäll had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vessigebro players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
