Herman Ahlén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Karl-Erik Wallman made a huge save. In the 6th minute, Nils-Erik Alströmmer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SKENE IF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Andrés Roales lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. A collision led to Dynamo Luleå getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Andrés Roales hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Dynamo Luleå's zone, Nils-Erik Alströmmer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Willig came out of the goal and Nils-Erik Alströmmer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Mats Holm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, SKENE IF's Vincent Häger got a free kick in the 18th minute. SKENE IF's Karl-Erik Wallman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gösta Johansson in the 19th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Bror Viberg notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of SKENE IF's Karl-Erik Wallman. Karl-Erik Wallman was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ian Willig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walter Ekelund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. SKENE IF's Nils-Erik Alströmmer got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 34th match minute, Dynamo Luleå was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gösta Johansson to maneuver through the defense. Mats Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Willig having to interfere. Jonathan Skog struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Ian Willig didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SKENE IF. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Bror Viberg managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dynamo Luleå's supporters rose to their feet, but Bror Viberg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Erik Wallman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 45 played minutes SKENE IF got a freekick which was hit by Michel Löfskog. Gösta Johansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nils-Erik Alströmmer to make the kick off. Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonathan Skog in the 52nd minute of play. Nils-Erik Alströmmer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Willig having to interfere. After having played for 69 minutes, Jonathan Skog managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SKENE IF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jonathan Skog was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gösta Johansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Erik Wallman having to interfere. If Nils-Erik Alströmmer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 83 played minutes Dynamo Luleå got a freekick which was hit by Herman Ahlén. Mats Holm could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Ian Willig made a huge save. Ian Willig stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nils-Erik Alströmmer's shot from short distance in the 88th minute. With a little luck, Dynamo Luleå's Ian Willig got control of the ball when Mats Holm tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jonathan Skog blasted a shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ian Willig having to make a save. Mats Holm fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Willig having to interfere. Walter Ekelund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nils-Erik Alströmmer could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 96th minute of the match, but Ian Willig made a huge save. The Dynamo Luleå fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. SKENE IF were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
