The crowd rose to their feet as Thor Dahlberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Mikael Göransson. That made the score 3-0 in the 11 minute of play. Köttrötterna were awarded a corner in the 17th minute after Ashington FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dan Landin took the corner. Thor Dahlberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 18th minute of the match, but Mikael Göransson made a huge save. In the 20th match minute, Ashington FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hannes Juhlin to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Ashington FC's Mikael Göransson got control of the ball when Dan Landin tried to sneak it across the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, Ashington FC's Sven-Arne Dahlqvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tage Lidberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mikael Göransson was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Dan Landin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dan Landin really showed his touch with that goal: 5-0. With a little luck, Ashington FC's Mikael Göransson got control of the ball when Thor Dahlberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Köttrötterna's Dan Landin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 6-0. The Ashington FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mikael Göransson should have stopped the shot. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 7-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dan Landin to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Köttrötterna getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Markus Salqvist hit a great ball. After 54 minutes of play, Köttrötterna's Anthon Ingemarsson made it 8-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mikael Göransson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 57th minute Thor Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mikael Göransson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mikael Göransson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viktor Jakobsson in the 59th minute of the match. Mikael Göransson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thor Dahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. In the 61st minute, Hannes Juhlin hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Henry Nyberg hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Dan Landin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 65th minute, Markus Salqvist made a precise shot to the right of Mikael Göransson. Ashington FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 9-0. Olov Broberg kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. When Bertil Forssberg fell near the penalty area in the 74th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Köttrötterna's protests and gave Bertil Forssberg a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Köttrötterna's Bertil Forssberg got a free kick in the 74th minute. If Malte Strandberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Ashington FC's Olov Broberg got a free kick in the 82nd minute. 86 minutes into the match, Ashington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Thor Dahlberg came free, but Mikael Göransson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hannes Juhlin lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 86th minute of the game. One of Ashington FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Köttrötterna:s goal. Mikael Göransson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dan Landin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Dahlberg in the 93rd minute of play forced Ashington FC's goalkeeper Mikael Göransson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tage Lidberg made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Olov Broberg sent off a good shot on target. When the referee ended the match the Köttrötterna players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
