Spectators: 7496 (Terracing: 5623, Seating: 1724, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joakim Åkesson started the match with the kick off. Ankeborgs Plättarna's Sten Gabrielsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Åkesson in the 5th minute of play. Sten Gabrielsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Sundström in the 6th minute of play. In the 13th minute Lars Sundström shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sten Gabrielsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Matthias Näver came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Ankeborgs Plättarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias Näver couldn't finish the play. Jimmie Hydén's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 18thth minute, Björn Westerstrand skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 19th minute, Matthias Näver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Arboga SK booed when Ankeborgs Plättarna was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matthias Näver didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aron Vikström might have been able to make a better finish in the 26th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sten Gabrielsson. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aron Vikström ran back to his position shaking his head. Jimmie Hydén recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Lars Sundström scored 0-1 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sten Gabrielsson, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Arboga SK's goal looked a bit too open when Åke Back came free, but Björn Westerstrand reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpected shot in the 47th minute by Jimmie Hydén got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Jimmie Hydén could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 48th minute of the match, but Björn Westerstrand made a huge save. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 66th minute Karl-Michael Wennerberg suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Jimmie Hydén charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jimmie Hydén the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Arboga SK made a substitution. Yngve Sjöman replaced Karl-Michael Wennerberg. After 68 played minutes Ankeborgs Plättarna got a freekick which was hit by Jimmie Hydén. Lars Sundström kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. 74 minutes into the match, Ankeborgs Plättarna's Åke Back sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Björn Westerstrand narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Åke Back came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Ankeborgs Plättarna fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Åke Back couldn't finish the play. Olof Stigsson's late challenge caught a Ankeborgs Plättarna's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olof Stigsson helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th minute of the match Allan Brask shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Björn Westerstrand showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 83 minutes into the game, Ankeborgs Plättarna's Jimmie Hydén nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Björn Westerstrand made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Björn Westerstrand made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jimmie Hydén in the 87th minute of play. The supporters of Ankeborgs Plättarna booed when Arboga SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olof Stigsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ankeborgs Plättarna had won after a very even match.
