After 13 played minutes Svartå got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Ahlroht. Åhus IF's Stig-Ove Berglund got his second yellow card of the match in the 16th minute. The referee ordered Stig-Ove Berglund off the ground. Stig-Ove Berglund hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Ulf Klintæus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Patrick Lundhberg in the 21st minute of play forced Svartå's goalkeeper Knut Stenquist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 24 minutes into the match, Åhus IF's goalkeeper Cazimir Stoica had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulf Klintæus. A hard shot 27 in the game by Ulf Klintæus from a close distance when the talented Cazimir Stoica managed to make a qualified save. Åhus IF's players were relieved. Svartå's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Adrian Ahlroht in the 31st minute. The corner led Svartå's Adrian Ahlroht to fire away a dangerous shot which Cazimir Stoica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Patrick Lundhberg struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Knut Stenquist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Åhus IF. Åhus IF's Cazimir Stoica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Åhus IF from getting a goal against them. Cazimir Stoica was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Viggo Danielsson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Viggo Danielsson really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Viggo Danielsson made the kick off in the second half. Cazimir Stoica showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viggo Danielsson in the 52nd minute of the match. Cazimir Stoica made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viggo Danielsson in the 55th minute of play. Cazimir Stoica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulf Klintæus, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. After 62 played minutes Åhus IF got a freekick which was hit by Gustav Östensson. Jörn Sillén might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Knut Stenquist. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jörn Sillén ran back to his position shaking his head. Göran Karlstedt's late challenge caught a Svartå's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Göran Karlstedt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Åhus IF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Göran Karlstedt hit a great ball. Viggo Danielsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Knut Stenquist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Patrick Lundhberg in the 77th minute. The supporters of Svartå booed when Åhus IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Patrick Lundhberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ulf Klintæus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cazimir Stoica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Klintæus, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Åhus IF defense, Ulf Klintæus kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cazimir Stoica. The Åhus IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cazimir Stoica should have stopped the shot. Svartå's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
