Claes Ekeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gösta Eckegren in the 3rd minute of play. Rimbo FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Bertil Berg was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claes Ekeberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Sven-Oskar Blomqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. Bertil Berg kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Rimbo FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gösta Eckegren was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the match, Rimbo FK's goal looked a bit too open when Sven-Oskar Blomqvist came free, but Kristian Hellgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Rimbo FK getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Gottfrid Bergqvist hit a great ball. With a little luck, Rimbo FK's Kristian Hellgren got control of the ball when Sven-Oskar Blomqvist tried to sneak it across the goal line.
