The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alfons Biörkman's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but George Ingemarsson read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. Erik Fristedt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thor Påk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jimmy Bengtsson kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Erik Fristedt came out of the goal in the 10th minute to try and stop a shot by Håstens BK's Bror Näver. But to his dismay, Bror Näver quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 15 minutes into the match, Håstens BK's goal looked a bit too open when Folke Kielstedt came free, but George Ingemarsson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. George Ingemarsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfons Biörkman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulf Sillén hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Folke Kielstedt in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck George Ingemarsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thor Påk in the 25th minute of play forced Young Boys Häggnäset's goalkeeper Erik Fristedt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 27 minutes into the match, Young Boys Häggnäset's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Näver came free, but Erik Fristedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes, Ulf Sillén mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Håstens BK and the Young Boys Häggnäset players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bror Näver could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Erik Fristedt made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bror Näver in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erik Fristedt prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Folke Kielstedt to make the kick off. The supporters of Young Boys Häggnäset booed when Håstens BK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasper Hellström didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 79th minute the ball was on its way in behind Håstens BK's goalkeeper George Ingemarsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Folke Kielstedt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 93rd minute of the match, but George Ingemarsson made a huge save. 97 minutes into the match, Young Boys Häggnäset's goal looked a bit too open when Kennet Gregersson came free, but Erik Fristedt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. There was no doubt that Håstens BK were the better team. Håstens BK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
