When Malte Malmberg fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored UD Metropolitano's protests and gave Malte Malmberg a yellow card for diving instead. After 3 played minutes UD Metropolitano got a freekick which was hit by Malte Malmberg. In the 8th minute, Malte Malmberg ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Douglas Löfgren was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Manuel Tunaru hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. A throw-in in the 30th minute of the game was made by Stig Svanberg with Ambrosio Fix as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Baltasar Euloxu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Bertil Frisk read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 31st minute of play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of UD Metropolitano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Brunflo:s goal. The referee gave Brunflo a penalty, 36 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Shi Yang Yang, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of UD Metropolitano's Bertil Frisk. 1-1. Douglas Löfgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Malte Malmberg in the 40th minute of play. Douglas Löfgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Malte Malmberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brunflo's Baltasar Euloxu got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Baltasar Euloxu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bertil Frisk was relentless in the 47th minute of the game. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Bertil Frisk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörgen Eliasson, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. In the 76th minute of the match Brunflo got a corner. UD Metropolitano's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Jörgen Eliasson ran over to the corner to take the kick. Baltasar Euloxu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bertil Frisk having to make a save. Bertil Frisk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baltasar Euloxu in the 80th minute of play. A collision led to Brunflo getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jörgen Eliasson hit a great ball. In the 88th minute, UD Metropolitano's Malte Malmberg dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. UD Metropolitano's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
