The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Kinna IK's Verner Hägert got a free kick in the 4th minute. After having played for 9 minutes, Bror Näver managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Håstens BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bror Näver was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ulf Sillén sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 14 minutes into the match, Kinna IK's goal looked a bit too open when Bror Näver came free, but Thomas Dahlberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ulf Sillén received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Thomas Dahlberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bror Näver received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Thomas Dahlberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Bror Näver slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 19th minute. Bror Nävers short, quick shot in the 22ndth minute got Thomas Dahlberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 23rd minute, Håstens BK's Thor Påk ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Thomas Dahlberg. Thomas Dahlberg yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 26th minute, Bror Näver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Konrad Granström's late challenge caught a Håstens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Konrad Granström helped the player get up and apologised. In the 29th minute, Konrad Granström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Verner Hägert charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Verner Hägert the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Kinna IK getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Verner Hägert hit a great ball. When Bror Näver came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Håstens BK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bror Näver couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Håstens BK booed when Kinna IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Verner Hägert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thomas Dahlberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bror Näver in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Konrad Granström to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Kinna IK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Kruse to maneuver through the defense. Thomas Dahlberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bror Näver in the 55th minute of the match. Kinna IK's Konrad Granström got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Kinna IK getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Verner Hägert hit a great ball. Thomas Dahlberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bror Näver in the 63rd minute of play. Ulf Sillén scored 3-0 in the 64th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Thomas Dahlberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Jonas Kruse's late challenge caught a Håstens BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Jonas Kruse helped the player get up and apologised. Thomas Dahlberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bror Näver, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bror Näver in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Thomas Dahlberg saved Kinna IK from getting behind. 78 minutes into the game, Håstens BK's Bror Näver nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thomas Dahlberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. Håstens BK's Thor Påk got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Kinna IK's zone, Bror Näver stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thomas Dahlberg came out of the goal and Bror Näver tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Thor Påk managed to get in a good position for a shot. Håstens BK's supporters rose to their feet, but Thor Påk was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thomas Dahlberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
