Spectators: 7451 (Terracing: 5657, Seating: 1734, VIP seats: 60) The supporters of Perspolis FC booed when Sec FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernt Termander didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Eric Tham had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 8 minutes of play, Sec FK's Eric Tham made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Åke Jakobsson was left in no man's land by his defense there! The audience thought a goal was coming when Andreas Jakobsson got free with Oscar Holm in the 15th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 25 minutes into the game, Eric Tham cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Sven-Åke Jakobsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 27 played minutes Sec FK got a freekick which was hit by Eric Tham. Sven-Åke Jakobsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Tham, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Sven-Åke Jakobsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Valdemar Sikström in the 39th minute of play. A collision led to Sec FK getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Erik Thedin hit a great ball. Joakim Melberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.

Perspolis FC's Sven-Åke Jakobsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jan-Ove Blom in the 53rd minute of play. A collision led to Sec FK getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Erik Thedin hit a great ball. In the 56th match minute, Perspolis FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Robin Hammarström to maneuver through the defense. Sven-Åke Jakobsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jan-Ove Blom, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 61 minutes into the match, Sec FK's goal looked a bit too open when Andreas Jakobsson came free, but Oscar Holm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oscar Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sture Sandström in the 67th minute of play. After 69 played minutes Sec FK got a freekick which was hit by Gert Botvidsson. 70 minutes into the match, Sec FK's goal looked a bit too open when Joakim Melberg came free, but Oscar Holm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sec FK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erik Thedin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 82 minutes, Andy Tillman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Perspolis FC and the Sec FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd minute, Andy Tillman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sven-Åke Jakobsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Valdemar Sikström in the 87th minute. Eric Tham blasted a shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Åke Jakobsson having to make a save. After 93 minutes, Jan-Ove Blom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sec FK and the Perspolis FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Oscar Holm showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Persson in the 94th minute of the match. Oscar Holm made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andreas Jakobsson in the 97th minute of play. The Sec FK supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Sec FK would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
