A collision led to Autochthonous FC getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Birger Tunander hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Wiktor Boklund managed to get in a good position for a shot. Åre IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Wiktor Boklund was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rutger Mager breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Kasper Hellqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ulf Benet to make the kick off. Ulf Benet's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 92ndth minute, Verner Tomasson skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Verner Tomasson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Benet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Åre IK fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Autochthonous FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
