Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tom Lindberg in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Michael Hamnberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Eric Lundin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Michael Hamnberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigvard Kleen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Michael Hamnberg was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Sigvard Kleen showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 9 minute of play. The supporters of Banana FC booed when Mockfjärd was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Fågel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dick Nordlander made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Evert Godholm in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute Eric Lundin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Nordlander saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 46 minutes into the game, when Ingmar Vik put in a rough tackle. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Evert Godholm stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the game, Eric Lundin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3.
