Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Verner Hedvall made the kick off which started today's match. Adrian Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Kilman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vallsta IK's goalkeeper Adrian Lund, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 10th minute Jonny Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Julin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Pär Östman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vallsta IK's supporters rose to their feet, but Pär Östman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernt Julin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bernt Julin stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Verner Hedvall's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Verner Hedvall in the 20th minute of play forced Överlida's goalkeeper Bernt Julin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Överlida getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Adam Beckström hit a great ball. In the 23rd minute Jonny Pihlwall shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Julin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Stig Tunander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrian Lund having to interfere. Adam Beckström hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. Bernt Julin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verner Hedvall, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Bernt Julin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Hedvall in the 37th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Verner Hedvall in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bernt Julin saved Överlida from getting behind. Adrian Lund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Karl-Magnus Kilman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Överlida defense, Greger Nilsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernt Julin. The Överlida fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernt Julin should have stopped the shot. Verner Hedvall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernt Julin having to make a save. Stefan Snäll kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

52 minutes into the game, Karl-Magnus Kilman cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Adrian Lund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Greger Nilsson during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Greger Nilsson hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Överlida's Adam Beckström couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 56th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Vallsta IK. The supporters of Överlida booed when Vallsta IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pär Östman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Vallsta IK's Adrian Lund got control of the ball when Karl-Magnus Kilman tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 66 minutes, Adrian Lund successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Stig Tunander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pär Östman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernt Julin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Verner Hedvall in the 73rd minute of play. Stefan Snäll hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Karl-Magnus Kilman struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Adrian Lund didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Överlida. After a rather tough play, Vallsta IK's Jonny Pihlwall got a free kick in the 78th minute. In the 81st minute Pär Östman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernt Julin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 84 played minutes Överlida got a freekick which was hit by Calle Ekgren. 86 minutes into the match, Överlida's goal looked a bit too open when Verner Hedvall came free, but Bernt Julin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Verner Hedvall took the ball and in the 96 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Bernt Julin. Bernt Julin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Vallsta IK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Överlida had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
