Spectators: 7486 (Terracing: 5615, Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Tor Tolsson took the kick off in the first half of the match. After some careless play in the Bjärnum defense, Christian Drake kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Stig-Arne Lövskog. The Bjärnum fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Stig-Arne Lövskog should have stopped the shot. Christian Drake recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bottnaryd IFK's Edvard Källberg proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Bottnaryd IFK from getting a goal against them. Herbert Östman charged in rather forcefully in the 12th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Herbert Östman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bjärnum booed when Bottnaryd IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herbert Östman didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Bottnaryd IFK's Edvard Källberg got control of the ball when Karl-Erik Lindsten tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sven-Ove Stenberg during the 21st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Bottnaryd IFK getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Sven-Ove Stenberg hit a great ball. In the 31st minute, one of Bottnaryd IFK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Bottnaryd IFK. Ove Persson shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. Christian Drake blasted a shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Stig-Arne Lövskog having to make a save. If Valdemar Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stig-Arne Lövskog didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Christian Drake went, in the 40th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Stig-Arne Lövskog took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Drake, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Valdemar Öberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ove Persson stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Christian Drake fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stig-Arne Lövskog having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Bjärnum's goal looked a bit too open when Christian Drake came free, but Stig-Arne Lövskog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Christian Drake received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Stig-Arne Lövskog came out and tried to block the shot, but Christian Drake slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 58th minute. Karl-Erik Lindsten recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Valdemar Öberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stig-Arne Lövskog. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Valdemar Öberg ran back to his position shaking his head. Bottnaryd IFK's Herbert Östman got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Christian Drake managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bottnaryd IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Christian Drake was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stig-Arne Lövskog breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Edvard Källberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Torbjörn Nilsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. The audience was convinced that Herbert Östman's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stig-Arne Lövskog was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Bottnaryd IFK played a much better game than Bjärnum and deserved their victory. The Bjärnum players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
