The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Matthias Holmberg was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Oskar Askberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Matthias Holmberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hans Holth in the 41st minute of play forced Abborrträsk's goalkeeper Matthias Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Bengt-Rune Askestät had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Matthias Holmberg. Abborrträsk's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bengt-Rune Askestät was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. If Hans Holth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Abborrträsk's Matthias Holmberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joakim Dalström in the 53rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Abborrträsk defense, Joakim Dalström kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Matthias Holmberg. The Abborrträsk fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Matthias Holmberg should have stopped the shot. In the 59th minute of the match, Kim Kilstedt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Matthias Holmberg was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 60th minute of the game Johan Olofsson made a throw-in which Joakim Dalström played forward. Dennis Olenberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ossian Chilian in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Leonardaraz got a freekick which was hit by Oskar Askberg. After 71 played minutes Leonardaraz got a freekick which was hit by Hans Holth. 72 minutes into the match, Robin Blue had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Dennis Olenberg. Leonardaraz's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Robin Blue was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-4. 76 minutes into the match, Abborrträsk's goal looked a bit too open when Hans Holth came free, but Matthias Holmberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Matthias Holmberg was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bengt-Rune Askestät in the 87th minute of play forced Abborrträsk's goalkeeper Matthias Holmberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
