In the 9th minute, Nils-Emil Nyström reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Elliott Flinck. The goal made the score 1-0. After having played for 12 minutes, Kjell Smedfeldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmvägen Boys's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kjell Smedfeldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Malmvägen Boys's goal looked a bit too open when Sune Västlund came free, but Johnny Eriksson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Johnny Eriksson didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sune Västlund went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. An unexpectedly hard shot by Folke Brandt in the 25th minute of play forced Malmvägen Boys's goalkeeper Johnny Eriksson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Malmvägen Boys's Johnny Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Målare in the 26th minute of play. After 31 minutes of play, Höganäs BF's Sune Västlund made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johnny Eriksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 34th minute, Oscar Lindholm hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Malmvägen Boys's Johnny Eriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Folke Brandt in the 37th minute of play. Johnny Eriksson stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sune Västlund's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Malmvägen Boys's zone, Folke Brandt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Johnny Eriksson came out of the goal and Folke Brandt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The attack was good, but when Sune Västlund in the 40th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 44th minute Sune Västlund shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johnny Eriksson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Johnny Eriksson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Folke Brandt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sune Västlund made a kick off. Folke Brandt in the 53rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Johnny Eriksson, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience was convinced that Nils-Emil Nyström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Elliott Flinck was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Folke Brandt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Helge Majman replaced Joacim Karlsson. In the 78th minute, Folke Målare hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Johnny Eriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sune Västlund in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute, Höganäs BF's Sune Västlund dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-4. The audience thought a goal was coming when Folke Brandt got free with Johnny Eriksson in the 96th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Höganäs BF walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
