In the 13th minute, Hjalmar Lindqvist left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Lakene IFK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Allan Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eric Hjeltman, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Hjeltman in the 29th minute of play forced Fagersanna FF's goalkeeper Allan Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Allan Lindgren came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Lakene IFK's Eric Hjeltman. But to his dismay, Eric Hjeltman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viggo Eskilsson in the 38th minute of play forced Fagersanna FF's goalkeeper Allan Lindgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eric Hjeltman charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eric Hjeltman the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 41st match minute, Lakene IFK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Hjeltman to maneuver through the defense. Allan Lindgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eric Hjeltman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Hjalmar Lindqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 45th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Allan Lindgren. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hjalmar Lindqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Eric Hjeltman was the one to do the kick off. Allan Lindgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hjalmar Lindqvist, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Allan Lindgren made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viggo Eskilsson in the 56th minute. After a rather tough play, Lakene IFK's Hjalmar Lindqvist got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lakene IFK's Edgar Stephansson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Pihlwall in the 62nd minute of play. 63 minutes into the game, Viggo Eskilsson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Lakene IFK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fagersanna FF the free kick. The supporters of Fagersanna FF booed when Lakene IFK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viggo Eskilsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 67th minute of the match Stefan Bäck shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Allan Lindgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Fagersanna FF's Allan Lindgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eric Hjeltman in the 68th minute of play. In the 69th minute, Stig-Arne Höijer left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Stig-Arne Höijer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lakene IFK's supporters rose to their feet, but Stig-Arne Höijer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Allan Lindgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Hjalmar Lindqvist fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Lakene IFK's protests and gave Hjalmar Lindqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 76 played minutes Lakene IFK got a freekick which was hit by Hjalmar Lindqvist. Eric Hjeltman's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 78thth minute, Allan Lindgren skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Viggo Eskilsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Allan Lindgren made a huge save. If Henry Skog had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Allan Lindgren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viggo Eskilsson in the 84th minute of the match. In the 87th minute Hjalmar Lindqvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Allan Lindgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Osvald Pihlwall blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgar Stephansson having to make a save. With his leg Allan Lindgren managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Lakene IFK's Eric Hjeltman fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After a rather tough play, Fagersanna FF's Lennart Hafström got a free kick in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes into the game, Osvald Pihlwall cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Edgar Stephansson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The Lakene IFK players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
