Nils-Emil Brun's late challenge caught a AUDI R8's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Nils-Emil Brun helped the player get up and apologised. After 25 played minutes Fagersta got a freekick which was hit by Nils-Emil Brun. Staffan Drewitz was a little too slow when Uno Bjurström got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 27th minute. The score was now 2-0. Göran Lindberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bengt-Rune Ekeberg in the 36th minute of the match. AUDI R8's Staffan Drewitz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save AUDI R8 from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 40 minutes, Wilhelm Ek put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Staffan Drewitz. Jonas Öberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wilhelm Ek made a kick off. AUDI R8's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After 84 played minutes Fagersta got a freekick which was hit by Ulf Aleberg. Fagersta's Göran Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvald Ahlstedt in the 85th minute of play. Göran Lindberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osvald Ahlstedt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Öberg in the 94th minute of play forced AUDI R8's goalkeeper Staffan Drewitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fagersta's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
