An unexpectedly hard shot by Gottfrid Sandberg in the 16th minute of play forced Fagersta's goalkeeper Göran Lindberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 17 minutes of play, Fagersta's Wilhelm Ek made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Britz was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Wilhelm Ek came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Fagersta fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wilhelm Ek couldn't finish the play. Arsenal FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jonas Öberg was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. Fagersta's Jonas Öberg got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Conny Uggla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Britz having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Fagersta's Konstantin Knös got a free kick in the 35th minute. Valentin Britz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Ek, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Valentin Britz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Arsenal FC's zone, Conny Uggla stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Britz came out of the goal and Conny Uggla tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gottfrid Sandberg was the one to do the kick off. Jonas Öberg succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 52nd playminute. Valentin Britz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jonas Öberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 58 in the game by Wilhelm Ek from a close distance when the talented Valentin Britz managed to make a qualified save. Arsenal FC's players were relieved. In the 67thth minute of the game Wilhelm Ek who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Arsenal FC's Valentin Britz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Conny Uggla fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Britz having to interfere. After some careless play in the Arsenal FC defense, Evert Kvalfält kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Britz. The Arsenal FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Britz should have stopped the shot. 75 minutes into the match, Jonas Öberg notched a goal, 0-8, to the right of Arsenal FC's Valentin Britz. Valentin Britz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. With his leg Valentin Britz managed to avoid a goal in the 78thth minute, when Fagersta's Jonas Öberg fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Conny Uggla could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Valentin Britz made a huge save. 81 minutes into the game, Jonas Öberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-9. Valentin Britz was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Valentin Britz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Conny Uggla in the 84th minute. Gottfrid Sandberg kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wilhelm Ek in the 92nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Valentin Britz saved Arsenal FC from getting behind. Fagersta's Göran Lindberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gottfrid Sandberg in the 93rd minute of play. Valentin Britz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Öberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. In the 96th minute of the match, Wilhelm Ek got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Britz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Fagersta played a much better game than Arsenal FC and deserved their victory. The Arsenal FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
