Seating: 1722, VIP seats: 149) Måns Kullgren started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 1-0 became the score in the 3rd minute when Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 15 minutes, Mats Tham mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Impala FC and the Mölndal players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Mölndal booed when Impala FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mats Tham didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Rune Lilja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mölndal. After a defensive mix-up in Impala FC's zone, Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rune Lilja came out of the goal and Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 26th minute, Evert Vassenius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rune Lilja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dan Blomqvist in the 28th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Mölndal's Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rune Lilja. That made the score 2-0 after 33 minutes of play. Impala FC's Rune Lilja played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck in the 41st minute of play. Michael Söderström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Rune Lilja made a huge save. Måns Kullgren kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. Michael Söderström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Rune Lilja tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rune Lilja having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
Sven-Edvin Ahlbeck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 58 played minutes Mölndal got a freekick which was hit by Lars Sjögren. Impala FC's Olle Sävström got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olle Sävström charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Olle Sävström the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Michael Söderström struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rune Lilja didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mölndal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isaac Asmundsson during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 82 minutes Impala FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jörgen Klemensson who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Jörgen Klemensson almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Impala FC's Rune Lilja did a great save. 86 minutes into the match, Impala FC's goal looked a bit too open when Michael Söderström came free, but Rune Lilja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rune Lilja showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michael Söderström in the 89th minute of the match. Aron Högström recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mölndal fully deserved thier win.
