Tage Säf didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sven-Erik Dahlberg went, in the 18th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Tage Säf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Erik Dahlberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Fredric Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Matsson in the 22nd minute of the match. Munktorp's Tage Säf played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sven-Erik Dahlberg in the 31st minute of play. Per Matsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otto Vennerlund received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Fredric Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Runeberg came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Munktorp's Otto Vennerlund. But to his dismay, Otto Vennerlund quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Otto Vennerlund in the 44th minute of play forced Lyrestad's goalkeeper Fredric Runeberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sven-Erik Dahlberg in the 45th minute of play forced Munktorp's goalkeeper Tage Säf to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Otto Vennerlund to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Otto Vennerlund got free with Fredric Runeberg in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walter Josefsson during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 75th minute Sven-Erik Dahlberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tage Säf saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. During the 79th minute of the match Axel Björnsson completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Axel Björnsson a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Fredric Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per Matsson in the 95th minute of the match. Tage Säf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 96th minute of the match. Tage Säf made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Erik Dahlberg in the 97th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
