Seating: 1731, VIP seats: 150) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Harry Ek got the match started through his kick off. Harry Ek might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bengt Åström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Harry Ek ran back to his position shaking his head. Fredric Runeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mathias Bark, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. When Mark Wickander fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Flen FC's protests and gave Mark Wickander a yellow card for diving instead. After 17 played minutes Flen FC got a freekick which was hit by Mark Wickander. Flen FC's Jonas Larsfelt was substituted for Mathias Bark. Bengt Åström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jens-Ove Botvidsson in the 33rd minute of the match. Harry Ek received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Bengt Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lyrestad's Sven-Erik Dahlberg got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Sixten Eliasson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 49th minute, Flen FC's Hampus Sandwall seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Hampus Sandwall the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Flen FC protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Hampus Sandwall had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Flen FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 48th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 50 minutes, Lyrestad's Harry Ek got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Bengt Åström. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The wind increased when Wictor Ahlbom made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Wictor Ahlbom kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Fredric Runeberg. That made the score 2-1 in the 66 minute of play. Malte Åhman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 71st minute, Wictor Ahlbom made a precise shot to the right of Fredric Runeberg. Lyrestad's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Flen FC's Bengt Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harry Ek in the 79th minute of play. Sixten Eliasson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fredric Runeberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fredric Runeberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Ahlbom in the 84th minute of play. 86 minutes into the match, Lyrestad's goal looked a bit too open when Wictor Ahlbom came free, but Fredric Runeberg reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Sixten Eliasson came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Flen FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sixten Eliasson couldn't finish the play. When Lyrestad's Sven-Erik Dahlberg in the 92nd minute got a chance for a shot 92nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Flen FC's goalie prevented a goal. Bengt Åström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harry Ek, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wictor Ahlbom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
