The audience was convinced that Marcus Ek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Åberg was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. Ralf Klementsson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albin Kuse in the 10th minute of play. Ralf Klementsson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petter Alströmer, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Albin Kuse made a great header on Hjortkvarn's corner, it was just that The Black StarZ's Ralf Klementsson managed to reach the ball for a save. The Black StarZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albin Kuse was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. 32 minutes into the game, Petter Alströmer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Ralf Klementsson was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Hjortkvarn's Jan Åberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcus Ek in the 37th minute of play. A collision led to The Black StarZ getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Marcus Ek hit a great ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-3.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Marcus Ek was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind The Black StarZ's goalkeeper Ralf Klementsson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 54 minutes into the game, Stig Kiempe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The Black StarZ's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hjortkvarn the free kick. Albin Kuse took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ralf Klementsson. Ralf Klementsson dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-4. Jan Åberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sven-Oskar Aspengren in the 64th minute of play. Albin Kuse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 74th minute of the match, but Ralf Klementsson made a huge save. A collision led to Hjortkvarn getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Harald Rolandsson hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Petter Alströmer in the 76th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ralf Klementsson prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petter Alströmer's late challenge caught a The Black StarZ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Petter Alströmer helped the player get up and apologised. After 79 played minutes Hjortkvarn got a freekick which was hit by Petter Alströmer. In the 80th match minute, The Black StarZ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Torsten Ekerot to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute Marcus Ek shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jan Åberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 90 minutes into the game, The Black StarZ's Marcus Ek nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Jan Åberg made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-4. The Hjortkvarn players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
