The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Sven-Arne Hermansson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leonardo Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Zebastian Hammarbäck sent off a good shot on target. Leonardo Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemanja Knežević in the 14th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the game, Dick Ahlström threw the ball into play from the sideline. RealMadrid's Josef Ekeroth quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. 23 minutes into the match, Harmless Newbies's goal looked a bit too open when Josef Ekeroth came free, but Leonardo Åkesson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zebastian Hammarbäck got free with Leonardo Åkesson in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 25th minute Simon Njurenius shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Dahlbom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Leonardo Åkesson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nemanja Knežević in the 27th minute of the match. Leonardo Åkesson made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when August Fransson sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nemanja Knežević in the 33rd minute of play forced Harmless Newbies's goalkeeper Leonardo Åkesson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sven-Arne Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dick Dahlbom having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Karl-Michael Fanström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dick Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Njurenius, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. Nemanja Knežević blasted a shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Leonardo Åkesson having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Sven-Arne Hermansson made the kick off in the second half. Dick Dahlbom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Arne Hermansson, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Harmless Newbies's Sven-Arne Hermansson got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. RealMadrid's Nemanja Knežević got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leonardo Åkesson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zebastian Hammarbäck in the 75th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sven-Arne Hermansson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Harmless Newbies's supporters rose to their feet, but Sven-Arne Hermansson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dick Dahlbom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Harmless Newbies's Leonardo Åkesson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zebastian Hammarbäck in the 83rd minute of play. Leonardo Åkesson came out of the goal in the 87th minute to try and stop a shot by RealMadrid's Zebastian Hammarbäck. But to his dismay, Zebastian Hammarbäck quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Nemanja Knežević recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kåre Bank kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match.
