After 14 minutes, Egil Lundin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Korsberga and the Lekeryd players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Korsberga getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Egil Lundin hit a great ball. Alfons Ingemarsson who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 15thth minute tested the skills of Paul Vacker when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Vincent Runeberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Egil Lundin, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Vincent Runeberg showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Torsten Almkvist in the 19th minute of the match. In the 21st minute, Rolf Björnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alfons Ingemarsson in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paul Vacker prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Arvid Pålsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lekeryd's supporters rose to their feet, but Arvid Pålsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Vacker breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 29 played minutes Korsberga got a freekick which was hit by Svante Finsberg. In the 30th minute, Rolf Björnsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Jens-Åke Pedersson came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Lekeryd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jens-Åke Pedersson couldn't finish the play. Tom Finsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute Torsten Almkvist shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vincent Runeberg saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfons Ingemarsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 52nd minute Jens-Åke Pedersson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Paul Vacker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 55 minutes into the match, Arvid Pålsson notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Korsberga's Paul Vacker. Paul Vacker was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolf Björnsson's late challenge caught a Korsberga's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolf Björnsson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 75th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Vacker. Korsberga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 76th minute, Alfons Ingemarsson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Per-Arne Almqvist took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 85th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Paul Vacker. Korsberga's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Vincent Runeberg made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tommy Snell in the 92nd minute. Torsten Almkvist received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Vincent Runeberg came out and tried to block the shot, but Torsten Almkvist slotted it home off the left post making it 2-2 in the 94th minute.
