Dick Lagerberg started the match with the kick off. Helge Brandin made an important save on a dangerous shot by Edgar Larsfält in the 4th minute. 6 minutes into the game, one of Aros Vättar:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Lagerberg in the 13th minute of play forced Galatasaray A.S.'s goalkeeper Ludvig Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Aros Vättar getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Stig Frisk hit a great ball. Dick Lagerberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Ludvig Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Per-Olof Billström in the 32nd minute of play forced Aros Vättar's goalkeeper Helge Brandin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Galatasaray A.S. getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Bayezit Nazir hit a great ball. In the 36th minute of the match Gottfrid Kjellberg shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ludvig Lundgren showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 37th minute Dick Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Helge Brandin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per-Olof Billström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Björkman hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. In the 47th minute Dick Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Per-Olof Billström to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Aros Vättar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gottfrid Kjellberg to maneuver through the defense. When the match had gone on for 55 minutes, Dick Lagerberg took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Ludvig Lundgren to make any attempt to save it. After 60 played minutes Aros Vättar got a freekick which was hit by Dick Lagerberg. Dick Lagerberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ludvig Lundgren having to interfere. Helge Brandin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Olof Billström, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. Ludvig Lundgren stood somewhat misplaced when Frans Björkman came free in front of goal and shot 2-2 to the left of him in the 71 minute. Ludvig Lundgren was a little too slow when Dick Lagerberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 76th minute. The score was now 2-3. If Dick Lagerberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Galatasaray A.S.'s Ludvig Lundgren got control of the ball when Frans Björkman tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 85th minute, Aros Vättar's Dick Lagerberg ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Ludvig Lundgren. Ludvig Lundgren yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-4. If Gottfrid Kjellberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
