Sven-Åke Ahlroht took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franck Tastet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 19th minute of the match Bengans blöjbebisar got a corner. HFF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Vincent Blomkvist ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Vincent Blomkvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Sven-Åke Ahlroht quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience was convinced that Carl Gunnarsson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jan Lindberg was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 28th minute, Bengans blöjbebisar's Michel Ahlqvist ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sven-Åke Ahlroht. Zbyszek Japola recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Per Ahlbeck scored 3-3 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jan Lindberg, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Franck Tastet to make the kick off. A collision led to HFF getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Per Ahlbeck hit a great ball. 57 minutes into the match, Franck Tastet notched a goal, 4-3, to the right of HFF's Sven-Åke Ahlroht. Sven-Åke Ahlroht was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Uno Lundin hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute of the match Vincent Blomkvist shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sven-Åke Ahlroht showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Franck Tastet had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jan Lindberg was out of position in the 66 minute of play, and Artur Bobrowski capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Artur Bobrowski really showed his touch with that goal: 4-4. A collision led to HFF getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Artur Bobrowski hit a great ball. Carl Gunnarsson's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Jan Lindberg firmly grabbed it by the left post. Sven-Åke Ahlroht showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franck Tastet, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franck Tastet in the 84th minute of play forced HFF's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched HFF eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
