Spectators: 7490 (Terracing: 5618, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Per-Olof Billström started the match with the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anton Allbom in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ludvig Lundgren prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The supporters of Sparsör IFK booed when Galatasaray A.S. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingmar Ahlén didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ludvig Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Allbom in the 9th minute of play. Per-Olof Billström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Stellan Beck made a huge save. In the 13th minute, Jonas Uggla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Per-Olof Billström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stellan Beck having to interfere. Ludvig Lundgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rudolf Haström's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Tomas Månsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galatasaray A.S.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tomas Månsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Stellan Beck breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 33 minutes, Per-Olof Billström managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galatasaray A.S.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Per-Olof Billström was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Sparsör IFK getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Anton Allbom hit a great ball. Per-Olof Billström sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Ingvar Strömbom hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ludvig Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rudolf Haström, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Sparsör IFK's Stellan Beck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jakob Lundblad in the 58th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Ingvar Strömbom had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ludvig Lundgren. Galatasaray A.S.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingvar Strömbom was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Sparsör IFK's Anton Allbom got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edgar Larsfält received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Stellan Beck tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 74thth minute of the game Rudolf Haström who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galatasaray A.S.'s Ludvig Lundgren was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Edgar Larsfält managed to get in a good position for a shot.
