Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5626, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Dick Lagerberg took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 4th minute, Sakarias Bergman hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Helge Brandin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Larsfält in the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Galatasaray A.S.'s Per-Olof Billström fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. In the 10th match minute, Aros Vättar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven-Åke Söderqwist to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 18 minutes, Ludvig Lundgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. A hard, long distance shot from Frans Björkman flew over the goal. Ludvig Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dick Lagerberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frans Björkman received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Ludvig Lundgren tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Per-Olof Billström ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Helge Brandin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Galatasaray A.S.'s zone, Frans Björkman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ludvig Lundgren came out of the goal and Frans Björkman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galatasaray A.S.'s Ludvig Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dick Lagerberg in the 37th minute of play. When Dick Lagerberg came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Aros Vättar fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dick Lagerberg couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute, one of Aros Vättar:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Aros Vättar. Helge Brandin had in the 46thth minute some difficulties stopping Gösta Ahlroth's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 47 minutes into the match, Galatasaray A.S.'s goalkeeper Ludvig Lundgren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frans Björkman. Frans Björkman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 48th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half Galatasaray A.S. were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Per-Olof Billström was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dick Lagerberg in the 61st minute of play forced Galatasaray A.S.'s goalkeeper Ludvig Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 62 minutes, Ingvar Hagberg mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galatasaray A.S. and the Aros Vättar players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ingvar Hagberg hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Galatasaray A.S.'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Larsfält was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute Dick Lagerberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ludvig Lundgren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 91st minute, Dick Lagerberg left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aros Vättar fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
