Spectators: 7400 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 50) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Roland Ekegren took the kick off in the first half of the match. Edvard Pedersson made in the 3rd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by IFK Göteborg's Claes Fransson. With a little luck, Aspabruk BF's Dan Andersson got control of the ball when Svante Bollström tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dan Andersson made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Svante Bollström sent off a good shot on target. Svante Bollström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Dan Andersson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute of the match, Claes Fransson got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Andersson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 20 minutes, Ralf Walmarsson made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Aspabruk BF's Dan Andersson tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Simon Zachrisson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Östen Björkqvist having to interfere. Östen Björkqvist showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Ekegren, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. In the 28th minute, Roland Ekegren left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Aspabruk BF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The crowd rose to their feet as IFK Göteborg's Ralf Walmarsson slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Dan Andersson. That made the score 2-1 after 33 minutes of play. In the 39th minute of the match, Svante Bollström got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dan Andersson was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 44 minutes into the match, IFK Göteborg's goal looked a bit too open when Roland Ekegren came free, but Östen Björkqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-2 when Roland Ekegren sped through IFK Göteborg's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Östen Björkqvist. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ralf Walmarsson to strike the kick off in the second half. Ralf Walmarsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Andersson having to interfere. Östen Björkqvist came out of the goal in the 56th minute to try and stop a shot by Aspabruk BF's Simon Zachrisson. But to his dismay, Simon Zachrisson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Dan Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Svante Bollström in the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute Roland Ekegren shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Östen Björkqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The long shot by Mats Martinsson in the 69th minute really tested Östen Björkqvist's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralf Walmarsson in the 72nd minute of play forced Aspabruk BF's goalkeeper Dan Andersson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 79 minutes, Valter Abrahamsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Aspabruk BF and the IFK Göteborg players grew even worse after the yellow card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Aspabruk BF fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 78th minute. Penalty! In the 80th minute there was a penalty for IFK Göteborg. Svante Bollström stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Dan Andersson. 3-3. After a rather tough play, Aspabruk BF's Simon Zachrisson got a free kick in the 84th minute. Dan Andersson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ralf Walmarsson in the 89th minute of the match. 94 minutes into the game, Sakarias Utfal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Aspabruk BF's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave IFK Göteborg the free kick. 99 minutes into the game, Aspabruk BF's Simon Zachrisson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Östen Björkqvist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-4. Aspabruk BF succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though IFK Göteborg had controlled the match.
