In the 5th match minute, Esarp IF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rikard Nordlander to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Wictor Forsberg in the 6th minute really tested Gunnar Albom's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Gunnar Albom was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens-Åke Sundström showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 8 minute of play. Herbert Hellström fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Ekblom having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Deje RK's Wictor Forsberg got a free kick in the 14th minute. Gunnar Albom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Joachim Smed, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ulf Pettersson in the 18thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gunnar Albom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 20th minute, Ulf Pettersson ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunnar Albom was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. Gunnar Albom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulf Pettersson in the 26th minute. Gunnar Albom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulf Pettersson in the 30th minute. Gunnar Albom came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Deje RK's Ulf Pettersson. But to his dismay, Ulf Pettersson quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Ulf Pettersson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but Gunnar Albom made a huge save. Ulf Pettersson came free with the goalkeeper in the 37th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gunnar Albom could save by the left post. After 39 minutes of play, Deje RK's Joachim Smed made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gunnar Albom was left in no man's land by his defense there! The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Joachim Smed to make the kick off. In the 51st match minute, Deje RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Sundin to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Patrik Kristiansson in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Charlie Ekblom prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joachim Smed in the 55th minute of play forced Esarp IF's goalkeeper Gunnar Albom to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Charlie Ekblom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patrik Kristiansson in the 61st minute of the match. Måns Hermansson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Charlie Ekblom having to interfere. 68 minutes into the game, Herbert Hellström cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-1. Charlie Ekblom was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 71st match minute, Deje RK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Olle Hedberg to maneuver through the defense. Patrik Kristiansson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Charlie Ekblom made an important save on a dangerous shot by Måns Hermansson in the 78th minute. 81 minutes into the game, Deje RK's Joachim Smed nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Albom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-1. Wictor Forsberg kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Gunnar Albom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulf Pettersson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Joachim Smed came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Deje RK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Joachim Smed couldn't finish the play. Gunnar Albom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wictor Forsberg in the 94th minute of play. Charlie Ekblom was out of position in the 95 minute of play, and Måns Hermansson capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Måns Hermansson really showed his touch with that goal: 7-2. Deje RK's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
