Sommen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Måns Hermansson scored to the left of an out of position Ragnar Classon, making the score, 2-0. Herbert Hellström could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Ragnar Classon made a huge save. 25 minutes into the game, Sommen's Valdemar Emander nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gunnar Albom made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Valdemar Emander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunnar Albom having to interfere. In the 34th minute, Herbert Hellström hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gunnar Albom stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdemar Emander's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. Esarp IF's Edgar Pyrtek quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Arvin Bergström, made in the 36th minute of the game. Esarp IF's Gunnar Albom played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdemar Emander in the 43rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Esarp IF defense, Valdemar Emander kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gunnar Albom. The Esarp IF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gunnar Albom should have stopped the shot.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Valdemar Emander stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ragnar Classon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kenneth Axelsson, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gunnar Albom made an important save on a dangerous shot by David Brovall in the 57th minute. Patrik Kristiansson kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Kenneth Axelsson made in the 87th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Sommen's Andreas Danielsson. Herbert Hellström might have been able to make a better finish in the 88th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ragnar Classon. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Herbert Hellström ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Sommen getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. David Brovall hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Herbert Hellström made a precise shot to the right of Ragnar Classon. Sommen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-2. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Esarp IF fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sommen had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
