Fabian Sandberg hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. 35 minutes into the match, Brunna FF's goal looked a bit too open when Arne Ödman came free, but Kjell Sundin reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 36th minute, Magnus Svanberg reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Kjell Sundin. The goal made the score 1-1. If Joachim Nordin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Tommy Jespersson came up free with the goalie in the 41st minute, the Brunna FF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tommy Jespersson couldn't finish the play. In the 43rd minute Arne Ödman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell Sundin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Kjell Sundin made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Alf Hård sent off a good shot on target. The crowd rose to their feet as Magnus Svanberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kjell Sundin. That made the score 2-1 in the 46 minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Kjell Sundin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sonny Carlsson in the 85th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Brunna FF defense, Alf Hård kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kjell Sundin. The Brunna FF fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kjell Sundin should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tommy Jespersson in the 91st minute of play forced Norrlandsfotboll FC's goalkeeper Sven Västberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brunna FF's Kjell Sundin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sonny Carlsson in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Joachim Nordin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brunna FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joachim Nordin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
