After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Sten Tomasson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's supporters rose to their feet, but Sten Tomasson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tomas Mårtensson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The crowd rose to their feet as Paul Nyberg kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jörgen Malmström. That made the score 2-0 in the 21 minute of play. Jörgen Malmström was a little too slow when Fletcher Alfaro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 24th minute. The score was now 3-0. 27 minutes into the game, Paul Nyberg cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Jörgen Malmström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jörgen Malmström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fletcher Alfaro in the 31st minute of play. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's Jörgen Malmström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan from getting a goal against them. Per-Arne Bröms received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Tomas Mårtensson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 45 minutes, Georg Alebom mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan and the Moa Coa players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 61 minutes of play, Moa Coa's Fletcher Alfaro made it 7-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jörgen Malmström was left in no man's land by his defense there! Fletcher Alfaro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Tomas Mårtensson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bo Hammarberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Jörgen Malmström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Michael Skark, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's Allan Jönsson got a free kick in the 79th minute. In the 82nd minute, Östen Pedersson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Moa Coa booed when Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bo Hammarberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lokomotiv Röda Stjärnan's Jörgen Malmström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fletcher Alfaro in the 96th minute of play. If Bengt-Åke Täman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
