Katrineholms AIK's Tanek Madej played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Mickelsson in the 7th minute of play. Tanek Madej showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Orvar Holm in the 10th minute of the match. Tanek Madej stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Orvar Holm's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Orvar Holm put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Tanek Madej. Leif Lundhberg's late challenge caught a Katrineholms AIK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leif Lundhberg helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Katrineholms AIK booed when Stugun was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leif Lundhberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torgny Nyström struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sven-Åke Lidman didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Katrineholms AIK. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Felix Söderqwist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Katrineholms AIK's supporters rose to their feet, but Felix Söderqwist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sven-Åke Lidman breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tanek Madej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Holm in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th match minute, Katrineholms AIK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Erland Palmkvist to maneuver through the defense. Valdemar Tolsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Madej having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Katrineholms AIK's Erland Palmkvist got a free kick in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felix Söderqwist in the 34th minute of play forced Stugun's goalkeeper Sven-Åke Lidman to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Felix Söderqwist came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Katrineholms AIK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felix Söderqwist couldn't finish the play. Tanek Madej showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sverker Anundsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 40 minutes had been played when some careless play by Katrineholms AIK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Orvar Holm was slow to take the kick. During this time Stugun's players had a chance to rest. In the 42ndth minute of the game Orvar Holm who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Katrineholms AIK's Tanek Madej was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Orvar Holm in the 44th minute of play forced Katrineholms AIK's goalkeeper Tanek Madej to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Torgny Nyström made a kick off. Tanek Madej made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orvar Holm in the 55th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Torgny Nyström in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sven-Åke Lidman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the match, Stugun's goal looked a bit too open when Torgny Nyström came free, but Sven-Åke Lidman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Katrineholms AIK's Tanek Madej proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 71st minute of the match, managed to save Katrineholms AIK from getting a goal against them. After 72 minutes of play, Katrineholms AIK's Torgny Nyström made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Åke Lidman was left in no man's land by his defense there! Mark Petersson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tanek Madej made a fantastic save in the 81st minute, when Alexander Mickelsson sent off a good shot on target. If Torgny Nyström had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Stugun booed when Katrineholms AIK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jens-Ola Holmgren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stugun were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
