In the 20th match minute, Fenerbahce SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benislav Pemov to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Fenerbahce SK's Torsten Hammarberg got a free kick in the 22nd minute. If Benislav Pemov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fenerbahce SK's Petter Springfält played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Kaxe in the 28th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benislav Pemov in the 29th minute of play forced Grabbarna grus's goalkeeper Jörgen Wallander to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Grabbarna grus's Jörgen Wallander got control of the ball when Benislav Pemov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Charlie Julin kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. A hard shot by Ronny Pettersson from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Jörgen Wallander's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arne Österlund during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Grabbarna grus getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Arne Österlund hit a great ball. In the 44th match minute, Grabbarna grus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Vidman to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Benislav Pemov made the kick off in the second half. When Arne Österlund came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Grabbarna grus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arne Österlund couldn't finish the play. 57 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's Ronny Pettersson broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 59th match minute, Grabbarna grus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Stig-Ove Vidman to maneuver through the defense. Jörgen Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benislav Pemov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jörgen Wallander stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Lundström's shot from short distance in the 76th minute. Petter Springfält showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charlie Julin in the 80th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Arne Österlund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grabbarna grus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Jörgen Wallander came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Fenerbahce SK's Dennis Lundström. But to his dismay, Dennis Lundström quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 89 minutes, Benislav Pemov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fenerbahce SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benislav Pemov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jörgen Wallander took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benislav Pemov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 94th minute, Benislav Pemov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fenerbahce SK's supporters rose to their feet, but Benislav Pemov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jörgen Wallander breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
