The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Robin Martinsson struck a weak shot in the 2nd minute. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Rönnäng. Robin Martinsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bengt-Arne Bergqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Rönnäng booed when Mörlunda RK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ivan Askberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mörlunda RK's Kjell-Arne Nyqvist played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Robin Martinsson in the 16th minute of play. Charlie Sundström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 21st minute. Fernandinho das Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rafael Raymond's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Robin Martinsson shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rafael Raymond in the 33rd minute of play forced Mörlunda RK's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Nyqvist to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Robin Martinsson managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rönnäng's supporters rose to their feet, but Robin Martinsson was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 37 minutes into the match, Mörlunda RK's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Raymond came free, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 41st minute Rafael Raymond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Mörlunda RK's zone, Rafael Raymond stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist came out of the goal and Rafael Raymond tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Rafael Raymond was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Mörlunda RK's goalkeeper Kjell-Arne Nyqvist had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Robin Martinsson. In the 53rd minute, Rönnäng's Rafael Raymond ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kjell-Arne Nyqvist. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-1. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rafael Raymond in the 61st minute of the match. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Robin Martinsson in the 62nd minute. 66 minutes into the match, Mörlunda RK's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Raymond came free, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Raymond fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kjell-Arne Nyqvist having to interfere. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rafael Raymond in the 73rd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Rönnäng's Rafael Raymond ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kjell-Arne Nyqvist. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. Kjell-Arne Nyqvist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rafael Raymond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robin Martinsson got free with Kjell-Arne Nyqvist in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpected shot in the 89th minute by Robin Martinsson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 92nd minute, John Larsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 97th minute of the match, Bengt-Arne Bergqvist tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Kjell-Arne Nyqvist saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Rönnäng's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
