Väderstad IF's defense didn't have a chance, in the 10th minute, when Filip Öman scored to the left of an out of position Ivar Lundgren, making the score, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Väderstad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Joacim Beck came free, but Ivar Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Wictor Godholm had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ivar Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joacim Beck, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Väderstad IF's Ivar Lundgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Väderstad IF from getting a goal against them. Karl Andreasson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rickard Damm in the 27th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Sture Löfskog's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Karl Andreasson was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. In the 39th minute, Wictor Nordal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Skoghall FK booed when Väderstad IF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sonny Westerstrand didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Elias Palmkvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wictor Godholm in the 51st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ivar Lundgren saved Väderstad IF from getting behind. 53 minutes into the match, Skoghall FK's Elias Palmkvist sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ivar Lundgren narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sture Löfskog had several of the Skoghall FK's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 3-1 score and a disappointed Karl Andreasson as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 63 minutes of play, Väderstad IF's Sture Löfskog made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Karl Andreasson was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ivar Lundgren stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Filip Öman's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. Ivar Lundgren took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wictor Godholm, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Väderstad IF getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Ingvar Eriksson hit a great ball. In the 78th match minute, Skoghall FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Viklund to maneuver through the defense. After 80 minutes, Wictor Nordal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Väderstad IF and the Skoghall FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Väderstad IF's Wictor Nordal got a free kick in the 80th minute. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind Väderstad IF's goalkeeper Ivar Lundgren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Einar Granqvist during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 88th minute, Einar Granqvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd match minute, Skoghall FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sune Glanselius to maneuver through the defense. There was no doubt that Skoghall FK were the better team. Skoghall FK's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
