Spectators: 6100 (Terracing: 4500, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 100) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Sture Löfskog started the match with the kick off. After 2 played minutes Smatter got a freekick which was hit by Kent Eriksson. After a rather tough play, Väderstad IF's Sture Löfskog got a free kick in the 11th minute. Ivar Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jon Rydberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Sture Löfskog took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rudolf Arhenius. Rudolf Arhenius dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jan-Olof Pihlberg in the 22nd minute of play forced Väderstad IF's goalkeeper Ivar Lundgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Smatter's Jan-Olof Pihlberg in the 29th minute got a chance for a shot 29th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Väderstad IF's goalie prevented a goal. Sture Löfskog kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Väderstad IF's zone, Andréas Smedfeldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ivar Lundgren came out of the goal and Andréas Smedfeldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Väderstad IF's Ivar Lundgren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jon Rydberg in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Åkerman in the 38th minute of play forced Smatter's goalkeeper Rudolf Arhenius to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ivar Lundgren made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stig Ahlstedt in the 42nd minute of play. Jan-Åke Bergman kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. If Jon Rydberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Väderstad IF getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Rickard Damm hit a great ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jan-Olof Pihlberg was the one to do the kick off. After 53 minutes, Lennart Östensson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Väderstad IF and the Smatter players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 58 played minutes Väderstad IF got a freekick which was hit by Sture Löfskog. Ivar Lundgren showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andréas Smedfeldt, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. Väderstad IF's Ivar Lundgren proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 62nd minute of the match, managed to save Väderstad IF from getting a goal against them. Ingvar Eriksson kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the game, Väderstad IF's Sture Löfskog nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rudolf Arhenius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Through an outstanding action, after 84 minutes, Ivar Lundgren successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 84 played minutes Smatter got a freekick which was hit by Kent Eriksson. Jon Rydberg could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Ivar Lundgren made a huge save. 91 minutes into the match, Smatter's goal looked a bit too open when Kent Åkerman came free, but Rudolf Arhenius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Väderstad IF's goal looked a bit too open when Andréas Smedfeldt came free, but Ivar Lundgren reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ivar Lundgren was a little too slow when Jon Rydberg got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 2-2. Smatter were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
