After 11 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Vincent Ekenberg. In the 16thth minute of the game Eskil Odén who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Örnsköldsvik FC's Dag Flink was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. A collision led to Örnsköldsvik FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Gilbert Lindström hit a great ball. 21 minutes into the game, FC Barcelona's Eskil Odén nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dag Flink made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 24th minute, Ulf Björkkvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jens-Åke Fagerberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Calle Sellberg in the 31st minute of play. With a little luck, FC Barcelona's Jens-Åke Fagerberg got control of the ball when Gottfrid Lööf tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Örnsköldsvik FC's zone, Vincent Ekenberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dag Flink came out of the goal and Vincent Ekenberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half FC Barcelona were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Calle Sellberg was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Örnsköldsvik FC booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vincent Ekenberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dag Flink didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulf Björkkvist went, in the 64th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. FC Barcelona's Victor Stålberg suffered a sore thigh after 88 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Christer Askberg's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christer Askberg helped the player get up and apologised. FC Barcelona's Jan-Erik Grönberg was substituted for Victor Stålberg. Christer Askberg hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. FC Barcelona's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
