Spectators: 7510 (Terracing: 5633, Seating: 1727, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Jens-Ola Lövkvist kicked off to start the match. Jim Billing hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. In the 10th match minute, FC Freij was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Felix Wennerberg to maneuver through the defense. If Jerry Pihlgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jens-Ola Lövkvist in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edwin Ahlroht saved FC Freij from getting behind. FC Freij's Mattias Nykvist got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Karl Biörling made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per-Oskar Olofsson in the 23rd minute of play. 31 minutes into the game, Jerry Pihlgren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Edwin Ahlroht was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The supporters of Malmö Torpedos booed when FC Freij was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Peder Byström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin Ahlroht made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Harald Törnkvist sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th match minute, FC Freij was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Henry Bergfelt to maneuver through the defense. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Vilgot Biörnberg in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Karl Biörling saved Malmö Torpedos from getting behind. When Malmö Torpedos's Jens-Ola Lövkvist in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Freij's goalie prevented a goal. In the 44th minute, Dag Svensson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vilgot Biörnberg to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jens-Ola Lövkvist in the 54th minute of play forced FC Freij's goalkeeper Edwin Ahlroht to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 56 minutes, Jens-Ola Lövkvist managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmö Torpedos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jens-Ola Lövkvist was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 59th minute, Mattias Nykvist hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerry Pihlgren sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Mattias Nykvist fell near the penalty area in the 62nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Freij's protests and gave Mattias Nykvist a yellow card for diving instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jens-Ola Lövkvist in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edwin Ahlroht prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Per-Oskar Olofsson could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Karl Biörling made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 69 minutes, Per-Oskar Olofsson put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Karl Biörling. In the 75thth minute of the game Jens-Ola Lövkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Freij's Edwin Ahlroht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Malmö Torpedos's Karl Biörling played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vilgot Biörnberg in the 76th minute of play. Vilgot Biörnberg might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Karl Biörling. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vilgot Biörnberg ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in FC Freij's zone, Birger Vennerberg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edwin Ahlroht came out of the goal and Birger Vennerberg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Karl Biörling made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Oskar Olofsson in the 84th minute. In the 89thth minute of the game Jens-Ola Lövkvist who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but FC Freij's Edwin Ahlroht was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Malmö Torpedos were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
