Harmånger BK's Karl-Axel Olsson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andréas Berg in the 3rd minute of play. Andréas Berg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Karl-Axel Olsson having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling George Snell in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Håkan Hägg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Collin's late challenge caught a IF Eksjö Fotboll's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edward Collin helped the player get up and apologised. Karl-Axel Olsson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Christian Brolin in the 19th minute. In the 20th minute, Måns Myhr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Harmånger BK getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Jarl Fridlund hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Harmånger BK's zone, Andréas Berg stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Karl-Axel Olsson came out of the goal and Andréas Berg tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harmånger BK's Karl-Axel Olsson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Harmånger BK from getting a goal against them. Karl-Axel Olsson made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Christian Brolin sent off a good shot on target. With a little luck, Harmånger BK's Karl-Axel Olsson got control of the ball when Christian Brolin tried to sneak it across the goal line. Håkan Hägg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from George Snell in the 43rd minute of play. If George Snell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Andréas Berg to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd match minute, IF Eksjö Fotboll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörgen Johansson to maneuver through the defense. George Snell let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 54th minute shot 2-1 at rihgt post. The audience thought a goal was coming when George Snell got free with Håkan Hägg in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Andréas Berg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ingemar Hjortsberg struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Karl-Axel Olsson didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for IF Eksjö Fotboll. After 70 played minutes IF Eksjö Fotboll got a freekick which was hit by Alfred Ekrot. George Snell fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Hägg having to interfere. After having played for 74 minutes, George Snell managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Harmånger BK's supporters crossed their fingers, but George Snell was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Tim Bengtsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkan Hägg having to interfere. Ingemar Hjortsberg hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. Håkan Hägg made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Tim Bengtsson sent off a good shot on target. In the 84th minute Ingemar Hjortsberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karl-Axel Olsson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tobias Löfgren's late challenge caught a Harmånger BK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tobias Löfgren helped the player get up and apologised. Tobias Löfgren kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. George Snell blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Håkan Hägg having to make a save. For all the effort they put into the match, the Harmånger BK players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for IF Eksjö Fotboll.
