Brian Pihlblad took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ola Löfgren. Ola Löfgren dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Brian Pihlblad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ola Löfgren having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Army Ants's zone, Brian Pihlblad stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ola Löfgren came out of the goal and Brian Pihlblad tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Army Ants getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Peter Karlsson hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Karl-Åke Gunnarsson in the 41st minute of play forced Army Ants's goalkeeper Ola Löfgren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Brian Pihlblad sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Army Ants's Stig-Åke Kjellkvist got a free kick in the 47th minute.

Karl-Åke Gunnarsson struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Ola Löfgren didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Viggbyholms IK. Ola Löfgren breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Gustav Vennerlund ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal.
